Updates/Projects

Volunteers Needed

The Association has two scheduled work projects for the Spring. The Annual Work Party on Saturday, April 24th and the Adopt-A-Hwy. litter control on Saturday, May 1st.

Some members may be unavailable on those days or may prefer to take on a specific project for the Association. A few have expressed interest in taking on a specific project such as installation of the Shooting Range rules sign.

Should you be interested in taking on a project yourself or with other members, please contact the club house or this website for review and approval.

Areas of interest could be work to the club house, picnic grove, weed triming (i.e. hatchery) or playground.

Feel free to contact us with any ideas or suggestions.

2010 Dam Clean-Out / Streambank Repair Project

The Association has begun the Dam Clean-out / Stream Bank repair project. It was necessary to take on this project during the Winter months due to the timing of having a quailfied contractor available and receiving the necessary permits / approvals for such a waterway project.

Preliminary set-up has begun. However, weather conditions have been less than favorable with heavy rains and two significant snow storms as of this writing. We are comitted to continuing with the project even if it means delaying the opening of the Dam for Trout season on April 3rd.

Should such a delay arise; the creek will be stocked with additional trout. Watch this site or club house posting as to the project status and (if necessary) an alternate stocking plan.

 Dam Drained 7/27/09

The Dam was drained on Monday, July 27th at 6:00pm in preperation of the cleaning/repair project later this year. The dam is shown above just prior to the plug being pulled.

The gate (plug) holding back the water is located on the spillway just below the iron post.
